There is no denying that the jewel of Southern Dalmatia is Dubrovnik. The famous Irish writer, Bernard Shaw, is quoted as saying 'Those who wish to see heaven on earth should come to Dubrovnik' and the same is true today. Your Dubrovnik expert guide will be delighted to show you their city, proclaimed a city museum by UNESCO. Dubrovnik is surrounded by 1,904 m long Gothic and Renaissance city walls, which is a real masterpiece of architecture. In each corner of the city there is a fortification; Lovrijenac, Minceta, Ravelin, St. Ivan. Visit the church of St. Blaise and the 14th century Franciscan Monastery whose cloister ranks among the most inspiring sites of the city. Visit the Sponza Palace, the Rector's Palace and the Dominican Church and Monastery. The Dominican church and Monastery were constructed during the 14th century, the same time as the city's walls were erected. Whilst the architecture derives from the Gothic and Renaissance transitional style.
The afternoon is yours to explore further or relax, enjoying the extensive facilities of your luxury seafront hotel.
Tonight we have made reservations for you at Dubrovnik's finest seafood restaurant, Nautika, to enjoy an exclusive menu created for you and the company. This menu offers unique experience of tasting elevated Dalmatian cuisine where each dish is combined with different variety of Croatian wines.
Nautika was proclaimed as one of twelve most romantic restaurants in the world by Conde Nast Traveller in March 2008 issue: "A Side of Atmosphere: The walled Old Town, whose streets have been buffed to a sheen from ten centuries' worth of visitors, feels like a museum come to life. And there’s no better spot to reflect on your place in history than from Nautika’s outdoor terrace: Two stone fortresses-elegant examples of the city’s perfectly preserved medieval beauty – jut into the azure Adriatic, and every so often, a sailboat slices through the waves."
