Bordeaux

Programme Overview

Duration: 1 day

An 8-hour shore excursion to Bordeaux, including wine tasting.

Highlights: Château Saint-Georges, Saint Émilion, Monolithic Church, Ermitage Grotto

DETAILS

Today, you enjoy a scenic drive with your group  through the Pomerol and St Emilion areas, passing some of the great wine estates. You will enjoy a private visit and a wine tasting at the renowned Château Saint-Georges. This genuine Château wine embodies all the qualities one has come to expect of the Saint Émilion region: a long, bold flavour, a pure deep purple hue and a broad, generous bouquet. Made by the proprietor himself using traditional slow and natural methods, bottled at the château, Château Saint-Georges stands apart for consistent quality and a great propensity for ageing, with each vintage bringing its own special nuance.

Later, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Saint Émilion, a medieval town overlooking the Dordogne valley and surrounded by its famous vineyards. Afterwards, you will take a walking tour including a visit to the Monolithic Church, the 13th century Trinity Chapel, the 8th century catacombs adjacent to the chapel, and the Ermitage Grotto, where Émilion lived. Return to the ship.

Please be aware that this excursion is only available for groups, please enquire for full details.
