Cooking with Fynbos in Cape Town!
The Table Bay introduces a unique new “Cooking with Fynbos” package from March to December 2012. Fynbos are indigenous plants found in the Cape Floral Kingdom and are unique to South Africa.
Resident Chef Schreuder uses Fynbos to create unique South African dishes. He picks the Fynbos ingredients himself and now offers guests the opportunity of accompanying him on his jaunts.

SAA and Air China conclude code share
South African Airways (SAA) has announced a code share agreement with Air China that will complement SAA’s newly inaugurated non-stop service between Johannesburg and Beijing. The agreement will enhance flight choices for customers, whether originating in Africa or China, through seamless connections and frequent flyer mileage opportunities.
SAA offers three weekly flights between South Africa and the Chinese capital.

Cheetah outreach at Spier relocating
In April the Cheetah Outreach project will leave Spier and relocate to Heartlands in Somerset West. Since its inception nearly 15 years ago, Spier has supported the project by donating land, water and electricity for its facilities on the estate.
This partnership has seen the success of Cheetah Outreach grow substantially over the years and the time has come where the size of the project has outgrown the facility available at Spier.

New: sleep under the stars in Mozambique
Nkwichi Lodge, the eco-lodge on shores of Lake Niassa in Mozambique, has introduced the Lake of Stars Bed. It gives guests the opportunity to sleep under the stars alongside Lake Niassa, on a private rock island that is accessible by boat, and is just 10 minutes away from Nkwichi Lodge.
A canvas shower and portable toilet are available and stay hidden from view. A maximum of two people are allowed and the experience is subject to weather and availability. There is a guest management team situated two minutes away for any assistance required.
