Madrid’s Prado museum is set to open 7 days of the week from January 16th in order to help cover 60 perdent of its budget through self-financing and to expand its cultural activities. The museum’s latest exhibition “The Hermitage in the Prado” will adopt the new opening hours from 8th November. The exhibition will display 170 works from the Hermitage museum in Moscow including archaeological pieces, decorative art objects, paintings, sculptures and drawings by artists such as Bernini, Rubens, Monet and Picasso. Gaudi’s iconic Sagrada Familia church in Barcelona is set for completion between 2026 and 2028, over 140 years after it was started. 6 central towers are to be built to complete the masterpiece, 5 of which have been started and will hopefully be finished in time for the centenary of Gaudi’s death.
