Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar
Programme Overview
Duration: 7 days
From the bush to the beach, discover the wilderness of Tanzania as well as the palm-fringed island of Zanzibar.
Highlights: Arusha, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Zanzibar.
Arrive Arusha
Upon arrival at JRO Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by your Tanzanian driver and transferred to Kia Lodge only a short drive away.
Overnight: Kia Lodge
Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to board your chartered flight to Manyara airstrip. At Manyara you will be met and transferred to Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge in time for lunch.
Once lunch is finished you will commence your tour of Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the caldera itself for truly amazing game viewing. On the way back to your lodge visit a Maasai village to learn more about this ancient culture. Later on as the sun sets arrive back at the lodge to relax before dinner is served. Why not opt for sundowner cocktails whilst watching the sun set?

Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, begin the journey to Serengeti National Park. Before leaving the Ngorongoro conservation area you will visit Olduvai Gorge, the archaeological site that became well known after the discovery of human fossils in 1959.
En route enjoy a game drive. Upon arrival at Serengeti Sopa Lodge, you will receive a welcome drink and fragranced towels to refresh yourself. There will be time to relax before lunch is served. Later on depart for your afternoon game drive on these famous plains.
Early evening arrive back at the lodge in time for dinner.

Serengeti - Zanzibar
After breakfast you will depart for your morning game drive. Return to your lodge to check out and have lunch, after which you will be transferred to Seronera airstrip to board your chartered flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Karafuu Hotel Resort. After checking into your room the time is yours to refresh before dinner is served.

Zanzibar
Spend the next two days discovering everything that this beautiful island has to offer, from water sports and sensational diving trips to excursions to Stone Town to learn about Zanzibar's past. Peruse the antique shops in the vibrant town centre, sample the different spices and learn how Zanzibar locals make use of them in cooking and as a natural remedy for various ailments.
In the evenings relax with a delicious cocktail made with the freshest fruits from the island while the fishermen’s dhows sail across the horizon for the perfect photo opportunity.

• Safari Blue with Adventure Afloat – swimming, snorkelling and looking for dolphins in the warm waters to the south of the island.

After your full day, arrive back at your hotel late afternoon/early evening with time to relax and freshen up before dinner.

Depart Zanzibar
After breakfast morning is at leisure. Lunch will be served at Karafuu Hotel Beach Resort before you are transferred to Zanzibar Airport to board your flight to Dar es Salaam.
Upon arrival you will be transferred to Kempinski where you will be having dinner. After dinner is finished you will be driven back to Dar airport to connect with your flight home.
