Duration: 6 days
A 6-day incentive programme discovering three of the highlights of Thailand - ideal for any corporate group.
Highlights: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket.
Your travel experience starts the minute you disembark when a representative will be right there to breeze you through immigration and customs. After clearing immigration and customs, our guide and police escort will clear the busy roads in Bangkok and lead you to the hotel of your choice.
In the afternoon, drive to the oldest quarters of Bangkok in Rattanakosin Island. You will also visit the spectacular Grand Palace, an eccentric blend of English Victorian, French colonial and traditional Thai architecture. Commissioned by King Chulalongkorn (Rama V), the first Thai monarch to visit Europe, the palace was designed by a British architect as a purely Victorian edifice but when the king’s advisors strenously objected to its western façade, a Thai roof was added. Also within this compound is the magnificent royal chapel, Wat Pra Kaew, where the most sacred Buddha image in Thailand is enshrined – the Emerald Buddha, carved entirely from a single piece of jade.
Later on, hop in a Tuk Tuk, an open air three-wheeled motorised taxi, to the famous Wat Po, also known as the Reclining Buddha Temple.
Then cruise along Chao Praya, the River of Kings, in long tailed boats. You will pass by small tributaries and get to see the colourful scenery of Thai life along the banks. People in Bangkok still depend on the waterways to transport their merchandise. You will also pass Wat Arun (the temple of dawn) and the Royal Barge Museum, a waterfront facility that houses the ceremonial barges used by the royal family for festivals and important rites of passage, such as a royal funeral and coronation marriage.
Welcome cocktail and dinner will be served at the Vertigo Grill & Moon Bar. Vertigo is located some 61 floors above the streets of Bangkok, this open-air restaurant offers unbeatable panoramic views over the whole of the city.

The Lanna Experience (maximum 40 persons)
In the afternoon, visit one of Chiang Mai University's most interesting professors Adjarn Rampat who will invite you into her home in Chiang Mai to show you a range of local crafts - candle making, basket weaving, umbrella painting and wood carving. Adjarn Rampat lives in one of the city's oldest houses and this is a rare opportunity to get an insight into the old ways of traditional Lanna living.
Shopping in Chiang Mai
In the late afternoon explore the shops in Chiang Mai. Stop at local silk and cotton weaving factories as well as the Umbrella Village where you will see how bamboo, paper, silk and paint is transformed into beautiful umbrellas. You can also learn about the skills involved in woodcarving, celadon firing (a type of ceramic) and the making of lacquer and silverware.
This evening you will travel to the heart of the city for a night of elegance and fine dining. Where better to hold such an event but at the Chiang Mai Cultural Centre. Renovated in 1997, it has since won several prestigious awards from the Royal Society of Siamese Architects.
You will be served welcome cocktails by staff dressed in the classic Royal Lanna style, before entering the main hall for a four course fine dining experience – with special wines selected for each of the courses.
To fit the natural elegance of the evening, Chiang Mai’s Symphony Orchestra will provide the music. There will also be a Lanna Puppet Show by the Hobby Hut Puppet Troupe. This show has a long history in Chiang Mai and has been adapted to suit the present day.

Later you will be transferred into the hills to a special and exclusive lunch at the Chalaming Tea Plantation - owned by a local Thai family who are also owners of Siam Celadon, one of the north’s famous celadon factories. Lunch will be served in the grounds of the beautiful plantation house, and after lunch youwill have the chance to visit the area for a brief introduction on tea, the plantation and its processing.
After lunch depart for a short 4 kilometre off road drive to visit a local Lahu Hill tribe village – still very pristine and well preserved as very few tourists ever reach this isolated area.
