Day 1: Cairns – Mount Mulligan

Arrive into Cairns to a warm welcome and transfer by helicopter to your heritage accommodation. Located on an entirely private 28,000-hectare working cattle station and heritage site, Mount Mulligan Lodge offers boutique accommodation in the shadow of majestic Mount Mulligan. Ensuring an intimate escape, the lodge accommodates just 20 guests at any one time and features luxurious and contemporary rooms, a beautifully designed main pavilion for guest meals and relaxation, an infinity pool and sunset bar. Each guest room is also assigned its own electric buggy to explore the expansive property with ease.

Tonight, enjoy a relaxed yet indulgent dinner with produce showcasing the incredible offering of the Atherton Tablelands and the menu putting a twist on outback-living.

Day 2 & 3: Mount Mulligan

Spend the next 2 days at Mount Mulligan Lodge, with curated experiences on offer, highlighting the spirit of North Queensland, immersing you in the spectacular landscapes that surround you, and taking a deep dive into the history of the region.

Discover the captivating landscape with indigenous significance dating back 37,000 years. The expansive property bears the marks of the historic gold and coal rush and in its current operation, as a working cattle station, the pastoral history of Australia.

A range of experiences have been designed to make the most of the rugged outback territory. Some of the experiences that may be provided each day include guided tours of the goldfields including a demonstration of Australia's oldest operating gold stamper at Tyrconnell, exploration of the historic Mount Mulligan coal mine and abandoned township, and ATV adventures discovering the history and beauty of the region. You might savour chef-prepared gourmet picnic hampers, enjoy wildlife spotting, indulge in sunset drinks overlooking the escarpment, or be spellbound by the night sky while stargazing. Keen explorers can partake in hikes around the southern face of Mount Mulligan, barramundi fishing in the weir, scenic helicopter flights and the chance to experience the day-to-day operations of a working cattle station.

Day 4: Mount Mulligan – Cairns – Orpheus Island

Enjoy a final morning at Mount Mulligan before returning this afternoon to Cairns by helicopter. Continue the aerial adventure with a private helicopter flight over the picturesque coral-studded sea to your luxurious tropical haven, Orpheus Island.

Day 5 & 6: Orpheus Island

Enjoy two days at leisure in your own tropical haven. Indulge in a plethora of once in a lifetime experiences, with included daily adventures. The local waters are a fisherman's playground and nearby dive sites are renowned across the world. Alternatively, Orpheus provides the perfect backdrop for a more private interlude if you wish to simply relax with a unique indigenous-inspired treatment at the Gwandalan Day Spa. Not to be missed is the signature Dining with the Tides experience, an intimate degustation dinner under a starlit canopy on the island's jetty (additional cost applies).

Day 7: Orpheus Island – Depart Townsville

Say farewell to your tropical paradise today, transferring by private helicopter to Townsville for your onward flight.
