Day 1 - Arrive Tokyo

Your honeymoon celebration begins today when you arrive in Tokyo, Japan’s vibrant capital and city where it all happens.

After clearing arrival formalities you are met in the Arrivals Hall and transferred to your hotel which is situated in the heart of Tokyo’s busy financial center.

Arrive at the Aman Tokyo which features sweeping views of the city and Tokyo Bay where, after checking in and freshening up, you can enjoy a romantic Spa for two.  Combining both traditional Japanese onsen tradition with the finest of amenities and treatments this is a spa experience like no other.

Day 2 - Tokyo

This morning begin your honeymoon adventure with a tour of the Imperial Palace Plaza the official palace of residence for the current ruler of the Chrysanthemum Throne. Following your walking tour you can enjoy a romantic rowboat ride on the Chidorigafuchi moat surrounding the Imperial Palace. This is a tradition for young married couples and during the hanami season (cherry blossom period) the moat is framed by a sea of pink cherry blossoms.

Then it is off to the Meiji Shrine the most sacred of Shinto shrines in the city and where all young newly married couples visit for a blessing. You will have the option to dress in traditional Japanese wedding robes and make your wishes at the shrine.

Enjoy the view of the moat flanked by the cherry blossoms during the Sakura season.

Another tradition is to visit Sensoji Temple in the busy Asakusa district, the heart of traditional Tokyo. Here you can also enjoy the busy shopping options on Nakamise-dori, the shopping street that leads to the temple.   

Toast to your first night in Tokyo over a romantic candle-light dinner on the 41st floor of the Shiodome City Center for stunning night views across the city.

Day 3 - Tokyo

This morning join the crowds at the Tsukiji Fish Market, the largest seafood market on earth, and a Tokyo tradition. 

Then try the latest and greatest of experiences that can only be found only in Tokyo – TeamLab – a virtual art experience where you, the visitor, become one with the installations. This is Tokyo at its most innovative.

From exploring the innovations of virtual art to a creative culinary adventure, enjoy a private sushi making class led by a master chef in one of Tokyo’s most popular sushi restaurants.

Conclude the day with a visit to the Mori Tower where you can take in the finest panoramic views of Tokyo from its observation floor and then view the latest in contemporary art at the Mori Art Museum considered the finest contemporary art museum in Japan.

Day 4 - Tokyo - Hakone

Early this morning your guide will transfer you to Tokyo Station where you board your high-speed bullet train to Odawara Station in Hakone, the much loved national park and hot springs retreat.

On arrival, visit the Hakone Open Air Museum which is set on 17 acres of verdant gardens and exhibits the works of the world’s most famous sculptors including Rodin, Henry Moore and Botero.  The museum grounds also have a galley devoted to the works of Picasso, more than 700 paintings, prints and sculpture.

Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Ashi for the best views onto Mount Fuji and then a dramatic ropeway (cable car) ride over the volcanic valleys of Hakone.

Then retire to the luxury of the Gora Kadan for a traditional hot springs experience and the balance of the day at leisure.

Day 5 - Hakone - Depart Tokyo

This morning your guide will transfer you to Odawara Station where you board your bullet train to Tokyo’s Shinagawa Station where, on arrival, you are assisted with the transfer to the Tokyo Airport (either Narita or Haneda) where you can check-in for your departure flight (to be advised).
