Stop for a coffee at a riverside café, then continue to the site of the 14th-century city where red brick temple and palace ruins offer a glimpse of the city’s former glory. Now a UNESCO World Heritage, the old city once flourished as the epicenter of trade between East and West. See the iconic Buddha head emerging from the roots of a tree at Wat Mahathat, take a break at a local café and visit the former Grand Palace. Try a local pancake-like treat made by hand by local vendors before enjoying lunch at an atmospheric venue with views of nearby temples and river life.
